The Flag of Japan

The flag of Japan which is based on white with red circle and simple is called "Hinomaru" in Japan. Long time ago, the Hinomaru used to use for armys' symbol. Moewover, in Meiji restoration the flag of Japan became official as flag of our country. However, at that time our national flag was not still accepted all over the world because of national isolation. In 1953, American goverment demanded urge Japan to open trade. After that, Japanese goverment carried the banner for Hinomaru as Japanese national flag. Then the hinomaru has been symbol of Japan. In addition, the Hinomaru is known as "rising sun." A red circle means the sun, and we often call "rising sun." We believe that Japan is the first place to rise the sun all over the world. Even though Hinomaru is symple, but they include strong mean and mysterious it.
